Tips on writing profiles

• Be honest!
• Write logically, with proper structure.
• Use your sense of Humor.
• Show them what you would want to know about a person.
• First describe yourself, your personality, which kind of person you are.
• Details are important. Say what you like to do what you dont.
• Please tell your real age, dont just indicate a range. As for the age group you are looking for, use a wider range (e.g. 20 to 30), this will improve your chances. You will be surprised that many people are very flexible on age requirements.
• Be yourself, be truthful and be straightforward. Let others choose you for what you really are.
• The idea is to make you different from the rest!

How do I create a personal profile?

On IsmailiMate.com, it's free to create a profile and add your photos! You can also choose whether to post it publicly for others to find or keep it out of search and only share it with people you choose.

1. To start the creating process, go to the IsmailiMate.com home page and click on the "Create Your Profile for Free" link
2. Complete each page and click "Save and continue" at the bottom of each page.
3. At the final step, you can still change your email address
4. An activation Email will be send to you, and you will have to activate your account from there.
5. As soon as you activate your account you can log in from the home page of IsmailiMate.com and manage your account from there
6. If you wish to make changes at this point, click the "Edit" link for the portion of the profile that you wish to change. Your profile will be available in the search only when it will pass trough the approval process. If approved, your profile will appear in the search results within 24 hours. You can create only one personal profile on our site at a time. Once your profile is posted, you can always edit it or add photos as you wish.

What is the profile approval process?

When you click "Create Your Profile For Free" on the profile preview page, your personal profile (and your photo(s), if you included any) immediately goes into a queue to be reviewed to make sure it complies with our guidelines. We will review your profile within 24 hours. If your profile complies with our guidelines, we will notify you via an email to your Personals Mailbox that your profile has been approved and is live on our site. (Note: If you chose to make your profile invisible, it will not be visible to other users.) If something in your profile does not comply with our guidelines, then we'll notify you in your Personals Mailbox that you need to edit and re-post it. It's a good idea to read and understand our Terms of agreements before you try to post a personal profile on our site.

How do I post a photo on my personal profile?

If you are creating a new profile, continue through the profile creation process to the step 2 click on the "Browse" link then follow the steps below.

If you are editing your profile, sign in to DesiAmor.com, then click on "Edit or upload my photos" on the My Ismaili Mate page from there, follow the steps below.

1. Click the "Browse..." button.
2. Locate and highlight the photo file you want to post. Photos must be no more than 1MB and in JPEG format.
3. Click the "Open" button. There may be some delay or lag time while your item is being sent to us, depending on the size of the file and the speed of your web connection.
4. Move on to the next line for the next photo and repeat the process. You can upload till 3 photos
5. Then click Upload photos and the 3 photos will appear
6. You will just have to choose witch one you want to display as a primary photo.
7. You can come back at anytime to delete, change or upload more photos.
8. Once submitted, your photo will be reviewed. If approved, your photo will appear on your personal profile within 24 hours. If your photo does not comply with our guidelines, then we'll notify you in your Personals Mailbox. If you encounter any problems in the upload process, please check your system and browser. The current requirements are: Internet Explorer 4.0 or above on Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP; Netscape 4.7 or greater on Windows or Mac; AOL version 6.0 or above.

Why my profile was rejected?

Our most common reasons for rejecting profiles are:

• Profile text contains personal contact information, a first and last name (anyone's including authors, celebrities, etc.), email address, Yahoo! ID, or a link (URL)
• Profile text contains obscene, offensive, or adult-oriented language
• Profile solicits for a commercial service

Our most common reasons for rejecting photos are:

• Photo contains more than two recognizable people
• Photo is blurry or otherwise unclear
• Photo contains obscene or adult-oriented material
• Photo contains personal contact information
• Photo is upside-down

How do I reply to a personal profile?

You must be a paying Member to reply to a personal profile .If you're already a IsmailiMate member plus:

1. Click on the "Contact me" button on the profile. (You may need to log in at this point.)
2. You can write to the person who interest you
3. Click "Send" and your message will be sent to the recipient's IsmailiMate Inbox with a link to reply to you. (Note: Your email address is not revealed during this process unless you choose to provide that information in your message.)
